Our heavenly father is in control from the heavens. I know it, I know it, I know it!! There is no way there isn't a grand plan, and a grand creator. I have seen to many things that were out of my control that just somehow work themselves out.
Sincere prayer is so powerful.
Last week for part of it, right around christmas time, I was a little down. I felt like I was unable to do this work. As a missionary we are entrusted with a grand task of helping people make sacred promises with their father in heaven. This is one of the most important works someone can ever embark during this life, and wow, as a 19 year old young man, sometimes you feel unfit for the Job. But, then I kneeled down and offered up a sincere prayer to my heavenly father, I told him my struggles, my desires, my love for him. Then after I said this prayer those feelings seemed to subside, I gained a new ability to conquer the challenges of a mission. I began to bear my burdens with ease. The thing is, this is not the first time it has happened on my mission, this is not the first time it has happened in my life. The Lord seems to lift me up over and over again as I am humble enough to call upon Him.
This week I have officially been called to be a trainer. I will be receiving a new missionary from the Missionary Training center this Thursday. It is crazy. It feels like yesterday I began this Journey of my mission. These last 6 months have been full of ups, downs, funny, embarrassing, incredible, miraculous moments that I would never change for the world. Everything has happened for a reason to prepare me for today. I love my heavenly father and His plan for me. It is hard, but it is full of happiness and always worth it.
This week my companion and I gave a talk in a baptism of a family. About 20 elders were there, 30 non members, and our mission President. I don't know if I have ever felt the spirit like that before. This family I have watched throughout my whole mission as the Sisters and Elders in our neighboring area have been teaching them. They have been waiting for this day for so long and there was so much happiness as we witnessed them get baptised and receive the gift of the holy ghost.
Our area is also lighting up, we have found tons of new people to work with and we have 4 people on date for baptism. We have grown a new found love for the people here as we have met families and people who are really desiring peace from the craziness of this world. We have been working hard with all of our heart, might, mind and strength. We are allowing God to work through us so his will can be accomplished here in Visalia.
Obviously, all this is a summary of everything that is happening here on my mission. There are so many miracles every day that I could not possibly begin to write a 100th part of them. Just know that this work is true and it is the coolest thing watching people eyes light up as they find the hope of the message of the restored gospel.
Commitment:
HAve a sincere prayer every day!! I promise you will see amazing things happen in your life..
Love you all
Elder Fuller
